I guess there are some advantages to having a really bad season last year:

I'm taking my girlfriend to see the Mariners at new Yankee Stadium on Wednesday. I'm so pumped!!! I'm gonna wear my shirt of the Seattle skyline with Seattle written in huge graffiti letters and my girlfriend is going to wear a Mariners shirt. I saw the Ms win at old Yankee Stadium a couple summers ago, I hope they do it again!

![]() Mariners' Beltre to have shoulder surgery Associated Press LOS ANGELES -- Seattle Mariners third baseman Adrian Beltre will undergo surgery to have bone spurs removed from his troublesome left shoulder. Beltre's non-throwing shoulder was operated on in September for the same reason and has given him severe pain all season. The two-time Gold Glove winner made his decision before Saturday night's game against the Dodgers, and he could be sidelined for four to six weeks. Beltre, who also had surgery on his left thumb in September, entered Saturday batting .260 with five homers and 30 RBIs. The 12-year veteran, who becomes a free agent after this season, was in the starting lineup Saturday night and flied out to the warning track in center field his first time up. Beltre established career highs in 2004 with a .334 average, 121 RBIs and a major league-leading 48 homers for the Dodgers despite playing the entire season with bone spurs in his left ankle. The home run total tied Mike Schmidt's 1980 record for third baseman. He signed a five-year, $64 million with Seattle a few months later. Beltre was held out of last Sunday's 9-3 victory by manager Don Wakamatsu, and X-rays on Tuesday confirmed that the bone spurs were back. He was hitting .336 over his previous 29 games after ending an 0 for 23 drought. He was 0 for 4 in Seattle's 8-2 loss on Friday night.

Watching the game tonight and I'm really pumped for the game tomorrow. A Rod made the game 5-3 but the Ms tied it up in the 8th. I hope it's a good game like that tomorrow!

They ended up losing today but still finished 15-10 in June. I'll take it.

![]() Morrow isn't even the one who screwed up. Whoever pitched the bottom of the eighth ****ed up pretty bad. I want to say it was White? Any how, they lost the first game in LA too, so it's not time to give up on the series yet! |

Wakamatsu should have pulled White earlier.
I'm leaving in about an hour! If I get any good pics I'll share them here. Let's go Ms!

haha. I was about as far as possible from the Griffey home run. I made sure to stand and cheer as the only Mariners fan in my section though. It was great to see Griffey hit that, what an amazing player and all his best years have been with Seattle.
I'm now 1-1 at Mariners games in the Bronx. The new stadium is surprisingly small compared to old Yankee Stadium and Safeco Field. Sorry Bond, I should have tried harder not to let A Rod hit that 2 run homer lol.

Oh and beer is damn expensive there. 10 bucks for a plastic "souvenir" pint glass or 9 bucks for a bottle. Also, the Yankees have a strict no bags policy. Fans have to go a block away to check backpacks for 7 more bucks. An expensive outing but definitely worth it to represent Seattle in NYC.

Didn't the Mariners pass on Tim Lincecum? Just imagine Lincecum and Felix as a 1-2 punch. That's how you make the playoffs. Not to mention he went to UW!
