Tirana's Main Boulevard Dëshmorët e Kombit is very long.
It starts from Mother Theresa Square and it ends all the way down to Skenderbeu Square to continue under a different name Zogu 1 from Tirana International Hotel all the way down to the train station.



At night is so beautiful

The first thread was over 200 posts so i decided to open a fresh one for the new updates and photos.
Here is a couple of pics from apartment buildings in Tirana.
Edi Rama has gone mad

Most people dont know this but the brain behind many of these very interesting color-painting renovations of old commie buildings is Anri Sala.
He is a 30 year old painter and writer from Tirana who lives and studies in Paris ,France.



Most people think is Edi Rama's work but that's not the case at all.
Edi Rama is the leader of the bunch but other people are in charge of repainting projects and of course Anri Sala is the one behind most of the large projects you see in downtown the city such as "Pallatet Agimi"

And of course, like with many architects, this artist does not live in the city/town/place where he realizes his creation. Makes you wonder...

I think they exagerate the colors in many occasions
They are trying to make the buildings look as unique as possible but i just think they are not attractive if you over do it
It's bad enough he uses different colors but he uses crazy shapes to go along with , it's just weird in a sense
It's like they are experimenting in a piece of paper a capital city
