I think Rae was an awful premier BUT to blame all the economic problems on him is unfair. He governed when there was a total downturn in the economy while Harris governed when the US was boomin and hence Ontario.
Its like Campbell in BC. His revived economy has more to do with the rise of China and high commodity prices, much like Alberta.
Also lets not generalize the NDP. The NDP in Sask and Man have proven themselves to be both socially progressive but also good economic gov't. Both have had balanced budgets for over 3 years.
