After quite a long break, here is the one before last presentation of Czech regional centres. Situated 105 km (a bit under 70 mi) northern from Prague, connected with a highway with the capital, Liberec has created a prestige-town reputation. Thanks to more projects than in other comparable cities, more remarkable events, it is seen as a town of sports (Czech hockey games every year, U20 hockey WC 2007, U19 football EC in 2008, WC in Nordic skiing 2009). Nisa river flows thorough the town, Jested massive makes natural town border from south-west, Jizera mountains from north-east.
