Among other things, the developer died and his company had their last development (Everglades on the Bay) declare bankruptcy.

It is sad. This was probably my favorite project. Who knows, the sales office is still up.

isn't there a big hole in the ground at the Capital site? What a shame since it was one of the better looking proposals.

Yes, there is a big hole there with rusting ribar strewn all over the place. Somebody will do something with the site one day. I just hope somebody else takes over the project as is. It's too attractive to just let die!

Yeah, it is a ashame, but I'm confident somebody is going to build it. Can you imagine driving down Brickell Avenue, crossing Coral Way, and then looking to your right and seeing something like that? Pardon the comparison, but that is so New York!

Strangely enough though, the sales office still is open across the street on Miami Ave.

I optimistic about this project. It is to classic to be brushed away. I think the next go around with be for the win. If the sales office one day disappears, then start to worry. But I'm truly confident that this will get built.

im really not sure about this building, i have some information that you should know, ok GICSA is the company that built evergaldes on the bay and capital but these are not the only buildings GICSA also inverted on many many huge proyects in mexico city, a Mega mall, and a residential complex names City Santa Fe u should google it, also a 40 story tower named Capital at Reforma its topped out, but these mexico city projects had awesome sales but as Everglades on the bay had terrile sales and hoped to help finance the mexico city proyects and came out bad, so they put City Santa Fe complex on hold and it was 83% sold (the units) so many mexico city residents were very botheres because they had 2 years late on the turn of the apartments so many people demanded on GICSA. SO i think capital is no longer a GO. but some good news arose City Sante Fe complex is under contruction again no longer on-hold.
