Something that stands out and looks the business with LED lightning should do the trick....
Maybe Leeds's version of the Gerchin in London could go there??

![]() Leave it alone! It can only be ruined by sub-standard urban design from architects with no emotional investment in Leeds. |

^ Yes, my friend just showed it to me - it looks rather interesting. And of course it's nice to see Leeds featured on dezeen

It looks bloody awful, and hideously out of place!

I like it! But I still worry that 36 the Calls and Warehouse Hill will undermine the character of the riverside through overdevelopment.

That is horrible. It looks like someone was playing tetris(not very well!) whilst they should have been designing a building.

I'm with Di Livio, I like it. We're always asking for someone to design something unique for Leeds and so long as it is built in the right materials then I think that it will work in its surroundings.
It's a 'love it or hate it' design so I can understand those who disagree. |

I've rummaged around and this dezeen article is pointless. The architect who designed this either didn't enter the calls competition or didn't reach the final group of architects - i.e. it wont be built; and we've known this for some time (october)!

To be fair, the dezeen article does say "The design is an entry for the 36 The Calls architectural competition, but has not been shortlisted."

Curious then as to why it was the featured article on dezeen when it isn't even a real project. I might try and get some of my work featured on there!
It's also very ugly when viewed from the road

That is, quite honestly, ghastly.
