Latvian Sub-forum Management

Ok, so we have our own corner now. What improvements do we need in our sub-forum?

Here are my ideas:

1.) Make this thread as a sticky, so that we could discuss in this thread changes we want to be make in our Latvian sub-forum.

2.) Create a highrise section.

3.) Create a Transport & infrastructure section.

4.) Make "Riga/Jelgava City development" and "RIGA UNDER CONSTRUCTION: photo thread of Riga's development" threads as sticky.

What do you think?

Don't think that we need split this forum... Too much clicking to get somewhere. Currently not too much happening in Latvia anyway.
Agree about sticky threads though.

Actually I'm very happy about the new layout. Finally each country's threads are separated and when you're interested to find old threads you don't have to use search function, just go and see all Latvia's, Lithuania's or other country's threads because they are not so many in each section.
And agree that for the moment we don't need to create subsections.
About sticky threads - I see reasonable to make both Riga threads sticky, not sure about Jelgava though. Of course, you, Ripley, are very actively reporting from there, but still, Jelgava is just one of many Latvian towns, and if here comes new forumers from Liepāja, or Ventspils, or Daugavpils (there is one already) and start to actively report about development there - then what, will make all these threads sticky?

Are there any volunteers for becoming The Baltic Mod?

RipleyLV suggested Gatis or Nomels for this job. I agree with SEAfan that Gatis might be to busy for running the job.

The discussion on the Baltic Mod matter is hapenning here: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...1#post45347791

Everyone is invited to join the discussion

Leave it as it is, I say. For now. We can change it later, if needed. May be Riga U/C as sticky.

Ok, then let's make both Riga threads sticky.

... also, I can not be mod, because I have been banned several times - I have problems with any establishment and complying to any rules.

IMO, the best idea of making a sticky forum would go with Riga dev. Nothing more due to it's our capital and city with biggest quantity of planned, proposed, accepted, being u/c projects! Still, don't make Riga U/C a sticky one - it's not so importtant, just pics!

^ Yeah, but Riga U/C thread is the second most viewed and it deserves to be sticky. And I fully support the idea of creating a highrise section, so that things could be tidy, always "RIGA |..." stucks in my eyes. Then we would have all threads in one page in the general development and it would one less clicking to get to older threads.

Edit: Should this thread be a sticky one?

We didnt make a highrise section in the Norway section, so to organize it we made a sticky thread on top with links and stuff (can be an example)

I support that idea I always check the European subforums for developments in the infrastructure branch, but it's easier to find them in one thread than under "general projects/developments/etc".
