Sigh....

Most beautiful city in the world. Paris can kiss my ass

Krzycho, your pics are the best I have ever seen. I especially like your emphasis on showing new infill development. Chicago's new infill is quite good quality.

Any plans to make a pictorographic tour of the south and west sides, by chance?

^This brick townhouse structure pictured here--was this just built? Last time I was on North Avenue, I recall a gas station/strip mall or something like that here. Am I mistaken?

This past weekend I took an architecture tour on the Chicago River. The tour last 90 min, and it was quite an experience. My pictures, although they don’t show anything new, look somewhat different.

One more thing, my pictures are not as good as Krzycho’s so don’t expect fireworks. (Pictures in chronological order. )

An architect that lead the tour said a tower will be proposed for this space.

Here are few panoramic views from DuSable Harbor I didn’t want to resize. The pictures don’t justify this truly magnificent view. Wish I had a better seat.

I’m positive. I used to roller-skate in that area. That was a year ago, and the building was already up.

thx

Of course I`m planing the south side next time. I think the west sides aren`t so urban like east but possibly I`m wrong, do you know some interesting areas on the west side?

Fantastic pictures guys! Good job!

But, as always, I have a few questions:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...3/PA180069.jpg
Is the parking lot in this picture right behind the bestbuy on Clark avenue? How does that look from the back?

Which neighborhood is this in?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...chicago3/9.jpg

And this?

First picture: No, this parking lot is for the Best Buy on North Ave near Clyborn. The Best Buy on Clark has a garage hidden from the street, and they are putting up new housing on the back of the lot.

Second Pic: This is where Clark passes under the "L" in Lakeview, just north of Belmont, and south of Addison.

Third Pic: This is looking north on Lincoln where Belmont and Ashland cross each other.

^They're putting up new housing on the Best Buy parking lot at North/Clybourne? Where did you hear about this. I'd kill to see those parking lots get developed!

The back of the Best Buy on Clark. Sadly...The suburban parking lot at Best Buy on North and Clyborn will remain a suburban parking lot for a long time ahead.

^Bah! With land prices and demand the way they are, that land will be developed soon. Parking demand for North/Clybourn has already way-exceeded what is already there. My guess is that a giant garage will be built to solve the problem, which will consume less land, provide more parking, and allow the rest of the land to be developed.
