I have just recently got Autodesk Maya. It has been a while since I have used it, so I decided to start basic:

I have finished the twisting building and nearly finished a third one:

after putting them together, I was quite surprised at how big the twisted one was. they all have floors approximately 4m high, or 0.4 units

I am using Mental Ray, which comes with Maya. It is quite good, except takes a lng time to render sometimes.

ah yes mental ray, i thought you were using v-ray. and also. give us some other perspectives. and can we see a night view.

That last tower was awesome! I love that the glass appears to be moving with the bulging and sinking triangular patterns... and the detailing is just crazy!!! in a good way of course... post more!!! haha...

The construction of your models seem to be
faultless.....on another note Ithink the towers
could really look better with more roof and
base detailing.The fourth building is really
class and quirky,,,definitly a thread to keep
an eye on...waiting to see whats next

I will get round to adding stuff to the top and bottom, and mech floors, etc. eventually. I just made the parts of the buildings that are reasonably repetitive, and left the base and top for later.

my next building is based around a vertically stretched sphere, so it will expand from the bottom up to the middle, then shrink back in, roughly like the Gherkin, except it will look quite a bit different.
