I've always thought the Forth Rail bridge looks a bit of a bulky mess TBH.

It's undoubtedly an impressive historical, industrial structure but to me it is far from elegant and not particularly beautiful.

In my opinion, the best (biased):
Transporter Bridge, Middlesbrough:





Newport Bridge (M'Boro/Stockton-on-Tees):





Infinity Bridge, Stockton-on-Tees (U/C Finish End of Jan.)

this is the bridge to be built in Sunderland, the UK government are funding £72 million for this.

I've always admired this bridge in Florence. It's a joy to talk across with all it's market stalls





I bought a book on Calatrava the other week but it's really hard to decide which is my favourite of his bridges
