Good Taphouses/Happy Hour places in Seattle

Hey guys, my gf and I are going to Seattle tomorrow and we're wondering where we should go for an early dinner and drinks. We've looked at a few options, such as Brouwer's, Feierabend, Duke's Chowderhouse, and Tap House. Do you know anything about these choices?

Also, we're open to more suggestions, so feel free to shout out away!

I am a beer geek, so I can recommend Brouwers without reservation.

Brouwer's and Feierabend for sure. Also check out Uber Tavern and Stumbling Monk.

Skip TapHouse. They dont use correct glassware and their markup is ridiculous. Teh clientele is also mostly guys in striped shirts. The Stumbling Monk and Feierabend have the best prices. Feierabend is the friendliest, and Stumbling Monk has a very surly, standoffish staff.

Thanks guys. Do you also know about Pike Pub, Icon Grill, Cafe Amore, or the Crepe Cafe & Wine Bar. I'd like relatively inexpensive beer or a good happy hour, but my gf is more interested in the food. It looks like Brouwer's and Feierabend have food, as well as Tap House.

Does it have to be beer? You could give a try to Purple Cafe. They have an extensive wine collection.

As far as beer in concerned, try the Elysian up on Capitol Hill. Good food, good beer

Elysian... their Immortal IPA is very good (I like it really cold). Although it is not dedicated to beer or wine specifically, if you are out later in the evening I always liked going to the Six-Seven bar at the Edegwater for drinks and finger food (my Sonics post-game hang-out; unfortuinately those days are gone). Typically they have a low-key DJ, a soloist or a small combo playing decent tunes. I like the atmosphere and the view. Parking is usually a piece of cake on Alaskan Way. Crowd is mix of young and old tending toward the younger side.

Tonight we went to Brouwer's in Fremont for a couple beers. The place was sweet - modern industrial on the outside and reminded very much of some Belgian bars on the inside. Really enjoyed the beer and the atmosphere...although our waitress was somewhat cold. After that we headed to the Icon Grill for Happy Hour. Really enjoyed the atmosphere there as well, and we got a ton of food and drinks for relatively low prices. Overall I was very satisfied with our trip, but hopefully we can come up again in the not so distant future and hit up some of these other places. Thanks for all the advice guys, I really appreciate it.

I'm getting a keg of Elysian ESB for my parade party on Friday

I concur about Elysian, Pike Brewing and Brouwer's. I would also add Collins Pub to the list for great beer in the downtown area (edge of Pioneer Square right next to the Smith Tower). Also, agree on skipping Tap House. Despite their wide selection, the atmosphere is just too Bellevue...

The guy is legendary. Amongst my group, he is known as "Unfriendly Stumbling Monk Guy"

I've tried to engage that ass-hat on more than one occasion while I was waiting for my friends to arrive, but that dude is just clueless. He better know beer well, because his CS skills are non-existant.
