Thanks so much for all those photos. I can't wait to move in 11 days! God, my school year is over and it's all happening so fast!

I can't wait to settle into this apartment/cottage place right by one of the four aves (Is it Bealey or Beasley??) for the first month.

I'll defs add more photos as I'll be so close to town. I'll also try to get to Lyttleton and the beach areas

I open various quotes in new tabs, then copy and paste into one reply. I wonder if there is a quicker way, also.

Wow moving from Rocky to Christchurch that's a big climate change lucky you'll be moving there with summer approuching, Christchurch does often have some real scorches over the summer, but remember it can snow during winter. But the real BIG bonus is that you've got the South Island on your doorstep...you lucky thing

Lots of Scots went to NZ, end of. hah.

Biggest ethnic minorities back in the day (in Aus before continentals were allowed in and in NZ around the same time) for NZ = Scots, AU = Irish.

anyhow - The Twisted Hop (you walked past it on the tram route/cultural precinct), spent a stinkload of cash on a three course meal + all the NZ micros under the sun after a very heavy day tasting at Haddingtons and Wigrams breweries in the burb's - it was that good I can still remember the steak I had there. Extremely fine quality food/produce, which is pretty much NZ full stop really...
