Before this thread gets locked, allow me to point out the irony of you making that statement when you come from a city which is only famous for being Britain's premier Slave Port, for having a workshy, scrounging welfare-dependent culture, and for 4 musicians who couldn't piss out of Liverpool quick enough once they'd got some money in their pocket. The only reason why you named your airport after John Lennon was because that's the first place he went once he became famous.
Ah, that felt better. As you were.

Manchester is King of the two cities no question. Once the economic cloud has lifted Manchester can press on and show the rest of the uk what its made of. If the Picadilly tower and Intercontinental hotel gets built then the skyline will look awesome. Its more likely that Salford Quays will de developed more than the Wirral Waters and Liverpool Waters will ever get off the ground. Manchester in the last 15 years has achived the following.
1. Media City Uk 2. The Trafford Centre 3. Urbis (football museum) 4. Salford Quays projects 5. Beetham Tower 6. Spinnigfields 7. The new arndale centre 8. Sports City 9. Commonwealth Games Liverpool City Council cant even support its own world cup bid by turning down the Evertons Stadium. |
