More new.. quoted from the star..cant remember when....
In February 2007, Samsudin had said a fresh bid for the monorail project would be made under the Ninth Malaysia Plan to revive the project at a cost of some RM400 million. The project has been put aside since 2004 as there was no government funding approved for the job.
While the Putrajaya inter-modal station was already in place then, the completion of the monorail was postponed until the occupancy rate in Putrajaya increases to a reasonable level to justify the financial feasibility of the project.
Under the S&P agreement, the Indonesian government is buying from Perbadanan Putrajaya a 1.2ha land within Putrajaya’s precinct 4 for RM35 million or RM260 a square foot.
The site is intended for a 13-storey office tower to accommodate the Indonesian embassy’s operations in Malaysia.
Tatang B Razak, Minister and Charge d’ Affaires for the Indonesian embassy, said the government-to-government deal was timely, considering that its existing premises in Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, was already handling substantial loads of work.
Precincts 4, 5, and 15 with a combined land area of 103.2ha have been designated as diplomatic enclaves. These areas, intended for mixed development, will see the construction of commercial and residential units to accommodate foreign diplomatic missions here.
