Claydon House

ISTR someone was complaining about a lack of entries, so here's mine to make up numbers

Heygate Estate, Elephant & Castle, London SE1. The last of the residents are moving out before it's demolished as part of a wholescale redevelopment of the area.

Canon EOS 5D, Canon EF 35mm f/2.0 lens.

I see a lot of photos like this in the contest - I can't really fault it, but it's missing a "wow" factor to make it stand out from the other entries. I'd like to see the same image with perhaps a small pocket of colour somewhere. A few colourful balloons (for example) would make this photo 9/10!

That is such an ugly place, I love it!

I agree about the balloons or just adding something extra, but baloons are expensive don't you know.

Quality shot, very good, the constrast and the light with the shadow of the branches is wonderful

With three points of convergence perspective, keeping everything in such a harmony, tells me a lot about the workshop and shooting technique.

I like it, because this kind of photos seem to stop time, plus has a very good approach
