I think that is supposed to be the target date for cross-river rail.

The metro is something like 2026.

I have as much faith in the Queensland State Government delivering its Metro as Samantha Stosur winning the Australian Open

That's probably what I was referring to. Whatever line it is that goes from Toowong to Bowen Hills via the CBD and Newstead. It's the first of two underground/cross river lines, tabled for delivery in 2016. I call it a "metro" but I know technically it isn't.

To be fair, their record on infrastructure delivery over the past ~4 years has been good. Lack of faith would only reasonably come from seeing their bank account at the moment.

No, that's not right. The 1st stage of the cross-river rail is for the section from Fairfield thru the Gabba-City-Spring Hill-Bowen Hills.

The other option of City-West End-Toowong etc is much further away from happening.
