Mobile, Alabama

Considering the recent "attention" Mobile has been receiving and the recent Masteplan...what do you think needs to be addressed or recommended?

I for one believe that the plan to develop the Fort Conde area, Civic Center, and move the I-10 ramp back will drastically alter the dynamics of the downtown area. It just doesn't flow as it is. Ideally, I'd love to see the port moved further south, toward the Brookley complex, as well as a massive dredging project and a plausible way to protect/replace much of the lost land on Dauphin Island.

In a perfect world of course, we could just build a few casinos and then do anything we wanted!

Anyways, what are your thoughts?
