thanks everybody for your positive feedbacks
I am glad you like these pics. I am not a profesional photographer, more a D-SLR beginner with a cheap equipment. This was may first holiday trip with my girlfriend and my first Tamron 18-200mm Zoom experience. She was quite tolerant, so I could do a lot of pictures and gain some experience. Paris is awesome, you can shot any time anywhere photos which will be beautiful or interesting. It was a lot of fun and became a hobby. Well maybe someday I can afford some better equipment. The most beautiful car series from Porsche in my opinion. Porsche 356. I am alway happy to see cars like that on the streets ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() Quartier Latin?! image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() looks like there was a burning garbage bin in the past image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() even simple façades are beautiful in Paris image hosted on flickr ![]() Aah, the Lego building from La Defense again ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() The architecture near our hotel was so homogeneous - amazing!!! image hosted on flickr ![]() my first tiltshift try ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() A topic that was really intersting to study was the desingn of the windows. Your pics make my ongoing thread here featuring Paris (and London) look like a joke. My pics were no where as good to begin with and then I saw their quality further decrease when uploading them to Photobucket since I was afraid they would take long to upload.
Anyway, you could make a book on Paris windows! It's true that while Paris has so much homogeneity, it's mainly on the general, quick look. When focusing closely, you see the variations that resulted from style and chronology, or both. Maybe it's the predominant use of beige polished stone (usually the nicer, chic buildings) and white plaster (usually the more modest buildings) in so many of its buildings that creates an image of homogeneity. But I always find variations throughout a street, whether mild or obvious. |
