I love the facade and cladding of 8 canada square. Boxy but I like it. My favourite tower in the docklands. 9.4/10=9/10

Best skyscraper in the Docklands. Amazingly smooth and shiny cladding, lovely rounded corners and those funky stripes really make this tower stand out. I love the HSBC logo as well - basically saying, "We are one of the world's largest banks, and this is our global headquarters"

Yes. Undoubtedly the most eye-catching skyscraper in the docklands. It’s the most diverse building in it’s cluster as its façade is enormously different from the typical square windows found on its neighbors, which compliments its round shaped egdes. 9.

Yes smooth and sleek. Gave it an 8. Favourite building in Canary Wharf and second favourite in London after 30 SMAxe. That second pick says everything. Much better than Citigroup.

can HSBC be classed as a british bank(hence we can say we have the biggest bank in the world) or is it a Honk Kong bank

Us Scots are so good with our pennies.
![]() I really like this building but there is something about the base that I hate. Can't quite put my finger on it, though. |

From a distance it looks like it has crap cladding and is older than it actually is. But up close it looks great and very smooth. Though still not Foster's best. 7/10

Of course, you must remember that HSBC bought Midland Bank many years ago, originating in that other famous banking city in England; Birmingham (at least I think so - TSB & Lloyds started here...) I don't know what, but I really like this one. I am not a fan of 1 Canada Square, nor Citybank. HSBC is a simple, box-shaped building and by rights it should not score that well, but it does, and as london-b says, I think it is the quality ![]() 8/10

5/10. By the way, 200 m ? It seems impossible. It looks like 150, max.175 m. However maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe you're wrong? Of course you're wrong. There's no maybe about it.9/10, I love it, though it would be crap without the curved corners though. |

OK, it was wrong impression about the hight. But the corners are better than sharp ones. We have too many sharp edges of too many buildings
