TAM Airlines, the present days Varig?

as everyone know, TAM Linhas Aéreas, or TAM Airlines, is the biggest Brazilian airline and sometimes, is often compared to the Australian Qantas, the only other company in the Southern Hemisphere comparable to TAM. TAM today is just like the 1950s Varig: International routes, worldwide respect, an Star Alliance Member. So i ask you ladies and gentlemen: Will TAM follow the lgacy left by Varig? Post your opinon!
