A report on Katowice and Ostrava airport (first couple of minutes): http://www.ct24.cz/vysilani/2008/02/...tredni-evropa/

BTW. Katowice served 155 500 PAX in January, that's 59% growth from last year. The film material says, that they would like to handle 2 600 000 PAX in 2008, but if the growth continues 2 800 000 or even more is possible.

This constant rise is amazing. Do you have data on how many percent of the passengers use Prague as an interchange airport. I'd be interested also how many percent of the passengers departing from Ruzyně are from neighboring countries compared to inland passengers.

The new passenger terminal at the Bratislava Airport with annual capacity of 3.5 million travellers should be opened before the start of the summer season in early June, the SITA newswire wrote.

The project has entered its final stage and all regular and charter flights will move from the existing terminal to the new building following trial operation. The renovation of the existing terminal will start immediately after flight operations relocate to the new building, said the spokesperson for the airport, Dana Madunická.

The reconstruction of the existing terminal and construction of a new terminal are vital for providing services in the coming years, the airport said. The reconstruction of the existing terminal should be completed by February 2012 and annual capacity of the airport will then exceed five million passengers.

Costs of the construction of the new passenger terminal and the reconstruction of the currently used facility are calculated at about €96 million.
