HONG KONG [15] A Bus Ride Through Kowloon's Streets
KMB's Route 8 travels between Kowloon MTR Station and the Star Ferry terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui. It traverses a lot of interesting streetscapes in Kowloon, rising to the hillside mansions in Ho Man Tin and descending back to the poorer and older areas of Kowloon, with a connection to the KCR at Hung Hom Station.
Fare : HK$4.20 (US$0.54) Journey Time : 60 minutes Distance : 11.1 km Information : http://www.kmb.hk/english.php?page=s...php&route_no=8 Frequency : 11 minutes during peak hours; 20 minutes during off-peak hours Departing Kowloon MTR Station, with Sorrento anchoring the north end of the station. ![]() The density quickly tapers off as the older districts take over, back when there was a height restriction due to the Kai Tak Airport approach. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Everywhere in Hong Kong, there are huge signs! ![]() ![]() ![]() Everywhere in Hong Kong, there are double decker buses! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Since Hong Kong's bus routes offer point-to-point service, each route will serve a number of streets to reach its destination. Hence bus stops are segregated by number to prevent overcrowding. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Other Hong Kong Series Threads ![]() Part 1 ; Central Part 2 : Tsing Yi Island Part 3 : Aberdeen Part 4 : Bank of China Observation Deck Part 5 : Kwun Tong Grit Part 6 : Kwun Tong Grit Continued Part 7 : Langham Place & Olympian City Part 8 : Sham Shui Po Grit Part 9 : Fun & Sun in Stanley Part 10 : Cruise to Lamma Island Part 11 : Downtown @ Night Part 12 : Tai Hang Road - Rich & Poor Part 13 : Hiking Lamma Island Part 14 : Exploring Mongkok's Streets |

wow thanks this is just great! Nathan road is amazing, those gold busses fit in so well...
Next time I'm in HK I have to do many things! Maybe I should make a list allready. Taking a bus along Nathan Road is one of the must do things... day and night.
