since our govt is soooo interested in awarding projects to cronies... it would have been better they award it to "Grade A" cronies....

maybe the current gred A cronies are seen by the gomen as being successful and able to stand on its 2 feet, so new round of cronies need to be created, then another round

Frankly, Malaysia today sounds like this (especially for KL spoilt kids):
At my age, I already have some friends driving luxurious cars, owning those cars and owning iPhone each. The girls shop in Pavilion weekly. Guys and gals go partyyy weekly. Have fun. But work is work, study is study. No big deal for them. They all had good grades. Then some even gave their iPhone away for free, kononnya for charity. Some claim that if they all together (with families) would migrate to UK, Malaysia would sort of "collapse". Smoke abit. Smoke here and there with a cup of Starbucks. Some had breakfast in KL, had lunch in Bangkok, and have dinner in Jakarta (though on AirAsia). Haha but still? They say the only good thing in Malaysia is that you can become really rich, REALLY RICH. You need to be part of the "Elites" by means of daddy, the corporate world, extremely enterprising businessman or the infamous politics. Nobody seems to care about the low income, poorer ones, not to mention those without proper qualifications. Do you? Sad but this is human mentality. Human arrogance. A typical class-society of Asia. Malaysia, Truly Asia.

At your age? When I was sitting for my SPM, a girl drove a BMW 7-Series to the exams! Then one of my friend got a Mercedes-Benz SL as his daily ride and another a BMW 3-series. One more friend got a bungalow next door to his current one for his 17th birthday present. Talk bout rich! Bear in mind that those were like in the mid-nineties. I am sure kids are richer these days!

eh you guys better be careful ahh..i'll still be safe because all i jerk about is UMNO..not the ruler.. i have another rich story but not really rich la..but a pretty decent one. A friend of mine lost his perdana v6. Next day after lodging police report his dad brought him to Naza and he got himself a recond toyota mark x..his dad is UMNO assemblyman fro one of the east coast state. During my sekolah days..a month before our PMR, one fella in my batch got special permission from the pengetua so that he can bring his own BMW 3 series and we just ohhhh ahhhh...that was back in 2000. form 3 without license can drive a car. hahaha. So jealous. Anyway he still scored straight As. Last heard working for his dad, UMNO-linked contractor that won the contract to collect sampah for one whole municipality. What else? hmmmm... keep it coming guys. We all can be rich, but you need to be racist. |

Do we have any "Les Majeste" law here in Malaysia like as in Thailand?
![]() ANyway we all did not jest at the monarchy, it all started when I wanted to "be" in Agong's place in Patchay's fantasy country hehe! Daeng : I din realised I have a BlackHawk Heli! Perhaps you should enlightened me abit about my rides......pretty new to this role haha! ![]() One more interesting one is that my grandfather used to pester (or should I say forced) his driver to let him drive to school during primary school years. Yea.....he uses pillows and stuffs to maintain the driver's position.......dunno how he able to reah the clutch and throttle hehe. Yea......my family during my grandad's time was rich as they are in the tin-mining business big time. Mind you that this was in the 20s when they have like 4 cars and drivers!
