Here's a March 2008 DRB pdf for the site. I have no idea if it's still the plan for the site. http://www.seattle.gov/dpd/AppDocs/G...endaID2156.pdf

At a time, a five building office project was going in that area. My guess is that it isn't - at least immediately. That area was a blight and full of graffiti. I think someone just got tired of looking at it!!

God I hope it's apartments, not more office space.
Also, an interesting article today on The Stranger about - among other things - upzoning ID/Little Saigon. |

Thanks, Seasun for that link. That is same site where I saw yesterday. I hope they start construction on that office project. If not, is that site going to become another parking lot until developer is ready to start construction?

It will probably just lay vacant as the properties immediately next to it have been for the past few years since they were demolished (so I've heard).

Looks like there's a new SU dorm going up on 12th and E James. With the updated satellite images, you can already see the construction site on google maps.

Not really, but judging by your previous posts, you "hate" The Stranger.

Seattle Housing Authority picked GGLO/Jonathan Rose Companies out of 14 teams to lead the third and fourth phase of planning for a proposed redevelopment of Yesler Terrace public housing project in the city.

Check out the location if you're thinking Colman Tower is in Sodo. Maybe you're saying it would be nice if it were in Sodo.

For the Westlake demolition site, check-out Weber Thompson's site for development drawings. I'm not sure if they are the only ones working on this project, but the ideas and drawings look great with new housing. On their website, click 'PORTFOLIO' then 'Community/Urban Development' and then 'Westlake Urban Development.'

Okay, First Post, long time reader. This is extremely off topic, but what the hell kind of cell phone do you have that takes pictures like that grayproduct? .. Just curious.

OK, not sure where we were discussing this previously. The McGraw/Westlake Plaza is delayed but going out to bid this fall for Spring construction:

It's not a very good picture (taken through window and you can see my shirt!), but I've got an HTC Evo. I'll take some better ones tomorrow with the same camera.
