Agree... core has gone up two levels, and last underground floor is on the way.
So time for some more tower cranes IMO. Maybe the vanished red/white one will appear at another spot? There are enough derrick cranes and telescopic cranes around to do that job.

To be honest, I personally liked the spires, I think they looked very good on this building, no matter how much many people here considered them an immature attempt at beating the Chicago Spire at the tallest residential title. I think they should have kept them, they complemented the design quite well. Of course that's only my opinion, as I said.

I can't wait for the result.
See the progress
In Dubai, I think, it'll be fast investment.

Imre's photos will be missed.

Hopefully, from time to time, some of the guys there in Dubai will be kind enough to take a few snaps and keep us updated..

What, no Imre, what are we going to do now??????

Hey droneriot
Spires are OK if they are part of the design of the building, but
the spire for this building was just tacked on to the side with no
concern with style or architecture.

I am well aware of the spires' history. I just think that they went with the design quite well and added more to it than just height. To me, they gave the design more balance, as opposed to the lopsided feel that - to me - the original - and current - version has.
