Hopefully this is the best thread for the query.
When taking architectural photos - how do you get your photos to look more right than wrong in this example? (The other rights and wrongs are worth a look through too.) Thinking about perspective, is it best to be aligned parallel with the midpoint of the building? (Obviously there's no chance of that happening in crowded cities at certain angles).

You need the film or sensor of the camera to be as parallel with the vertical of the building as you can, so with a perfectly vertical building, if you hold the camera perfectly horizontal you shouldn't see a convergence of the buildings vertical lines, so yeah half way up the building would help. At the bottom holding the camera horizontal you'll probably lop the top off picture, as you'll be pointing the camera at the bottom of the building. Heres a few ways of getting around that:-
