^freeroaming windpowered servers are the best.. but those Japanese Kobe servers that are soaked in beer are pretty good too ( don't try it at home though )
As for SSC, some parts are still slower than others, for example when I try to look at the threads I subscribe too it's usually faster to visit them manually then to wait for the list to show itself.. Seems to be slowest around evening ( 20-24 CET) where I'm guessing the user count is peaking.. I know it's none of my business, but I'm curious so I'll ask anyway.. with so many servers, and the bandwidth, SSC has to be rather expensive to run, does the ads really cover it all? I can't deny having clicked a couple to support SSC from time to time, but most my generation or younger doesn't strike me as folks who would use online advertisement for much, those who doesn't block it trough the browser probable ignores it automatically after all these years.. It's in all's interest to see SSC around for many years to come - it certainly is in mine - so I hope it does cover it.. but with the constant flow of new servers it seems like an expensive operation to run without charging us..
