It's great to see Toronto is booming. When I was in town two years ago it left a very European feeling with late evening streets in downtown filled with people and music - a rare quality for North American cities.

I didn't think this re-cladding would make such a huge difference, but it's really going to have a big impact.

Looks more white and a bit shinier though, but I think they intended to keep the original 'feel' to it as much as possible.

I think they've got it just right. The black-glazed corners give the tower more vertical emphasis, too. Great project all round....

I guess too many falling chunks of marble facade finally prompted them to do a whole refit. Although it's a fairly young building to get it - only about 35 years old.

Looks like it's getting a good power-wash rather than new cladding.
