The way devolution has been handled by the media is quite poor and it doesn't help that there are different types of devolution depending on where you live and some functions are devolved whereas others aren't.

The West Lothian question is also easily solved - English only MP's vote on English only questions. To me its so simple that I think maybe I'm missing something.
I completely agree and I fully support further devolution for all four countries of the UK. (I also ultimately want Scotland to be fully independant too though).

English only MP's voting on English only questions is the only fair way forward making a more federal structure with everyone comiing together to vote on UK issues.

In addition full fiscal autonomy for Scotland whereby only money raised in Scotland is spent in Scotland or likewise England. It would be down to Wales or NI to adopt this if they want too for their assemblies. This completely removes this issue over funding by stopping the block grant. It also puts paid to the English or whoever feeling aggrevied that "their tax money" goes to fund free prescriptions or universities in Scotland or Wales which has been choosen by their respective governments. What could be fairer than that?

I know the UK parties don't want to go down this federal routes because it will show that in fact the UK would be quite redundant and an surplus extra layer of bureaucracy what with us also bering in the EU.

For that to happen, it would need the West Lothian and other (mainly Scottish) MPs to vote and agree to this: which given the greedy****** they are +Labour influence, is unlikely to happen unless the Queen demands it or the Lib-Con goverment whips their party!

I think English regions should have their own devolved assemblies too. I know they voted against it last time but I dont think that anyone important was really behind it (I wouldn't count Prescott as being important)

Labour in particular are unlikely to let this happen - quite simply they are completely disregarding England in favour of their own party.
