IRAQ | Small Completed Projects

roject name The Project for Construction of Diesel Power Station in Samawah
Location Samawah City, Muthanna Province, Iraq
Client Japan International Cooperation System (End User: Iraq Ministry of Electricity)
Contract amount Approx. 8.75 billion yen (main contract) + approx. 2.49 billion yen (security and inland transportation contract)
This project (total capacity: 60MW) was funded under Japanese Grant Aid, as the reconstruction of Iraq infrastructure.
We were awarded for this project as a full turnkey project in 2006 after the international tender. As it was realized that we were unable to mobilize our engineers to Iraq after the Contract became effective due to the deterioration of security situation in Iraq, we developed a remote supervision system to execute and manage the project remotely utilizing the satellite cameras.
The residents in the Province have been largely affected by the lack of electricity, so we expect that the construction of this power plant will improve their daily life.

Looks good. Was this project from the ground up? Also, are the transmission lines being rehabilitated or are they new?

yes I'm working on it :P

MrIraq, can you please follow the labeling rules in this section.. all threads in this section must be formated as follows:

CITY NAME (in caps) | Porject name | <additional optional info> | STATUS

everything should be in English, the project name can include Arabic (or Kurdish) IN ADDITION to English

I know it might sound unfair.. but the English language is the lingua franca of this forum (when it comes to labeling at least)

LOL I'm sorry, but it's important we keep things orgnised,

By the way, it's only in this section. So in Baghdad Cafe, and the Photography section, you can post in arabic there are no naming rules..

However, In my opinion it's always a good idea to post in English, this is an international forum after all, and we get visitors from all over the world, so we can't assume that they all can read Arabic..

if you have any problems, please feel free to message me, I'll be happy to help you out
