Markham is not using this plan, instead they are taking a different route. They won't try to build a skyline full of condos, because there is no need to have condos of that size and amount in markham, and it does not benefit anyone. Instead Markham is making an urban area known as downtown markham, which you can check here . http://www.downtownmarkham.ca/index.php

They will be focusing more on street presence such as promenades to walk through, transportation, and make a densely populated area that will serve to all of Markham as our own downtown. There are a few small condo's but little at most. There is a separate development though that contains condominiums which is situated in the numerous lots just north of this project, still on highway 7.

In this area there are no malls, nothign just a field, which is directly south east of the civic centre, a couple of condos, and a hilton hotel. Once it's done I'll be pretty excited to visit the area more often, I live pretty close by.

What ever happened to the plans for Remington Center, any update or has it been canceled.
