Do you really believe that investing in a monorail which would cost the price of several normal elevated metro lines for example is reasonable?
I mean it almost certainly won't happen anyway, but it is ridiculous to consider this an acceptable proposal when there are much cheaper more effective options for transport.
If corporations were to have free reign then why bother with government, just employ a silencing law-enforcement agency to defend the corporations

I do agree with you. but do you really believe in the government we have now? i mean for a second i felt you did.

but I think they look at these kind of stuff in different way. Monorail = More employment, faster and safe transport. an end for traffic problem (I think this will get even more people to cairo but...) and most importantly for them the income they take in there pockets haha.

but to be honest it still have it's benefits. at least it's going to be elevated which mean more space for cars to move around.

but good point there and it wont apply to the current government haha.

TBH I'd rather have more advanced rail system then have this when essential problems are done. but if investors came this time to invest next time they will prefer someone else so it's like either now or after million of years.

Edit: for cost these monorails were half the price 5 years ago when they where proposed and even less than half the price. as I don't think this would be more expensive than the Metro as you talk about 42 Station and 52km The largest monorail system in the world as they call it.
