5 WTC 1,2,3,4 and 7. Don't ask me about 5 and 6 because I don't have any answer.

Are there any sites where WTC is treated seriously?

I dunno, I like the variety that this thread has had.

It gets pretty dull reading 1000 pages of "OMG, it's so big"...."I love the design"......"When will they put the cladding on?"....."How tall is it today?"......etc.

To stay out of hot water...

It sure looks like it will be a tall building.

Yup, you just don't get the scale of the building from pictures, but since most of us can't see it every day in person, keep the great photos coming!

WTC 6
I quote There is no clearly defined 6 World Trade Center in the new World Trade Center master plan however it is most likely that one will be eventually included and constructed parallel to the others in the plaza.

It is a former low rice building

After 9/11

The same story with WTC 5

Whatever they build on the DB site will be called 5WTC, and maybe the PAC can be called 6. The museum pavillion can be #8 so we will have more than the original. (While we're at it those 2 vent buildings on West St. can be 9 and 10 )

Amazing how a bunch of comments related to the 1,000 page waste 3 pages more... It's just a number... Keep on-topic, please.

I was just about to comment on the trees. They look pretty sad right now, with concrete and construction materials spread amongst them.

I'm sure the trees will look great when they've grown in a bit. But epic??? They're forever doomed to be dwarfed by their surroundings, which are epic.
I think they are important and are there to lend some tranquility, which is a great reason to have them. Not that you need any reason to have trees.

Okay now Im confused. I didnt realized that the trees part of the memorial were already planted. When you said the trees will be epic, were you refering to the "jungle of cranes and steel" I was talking about, or the actual trees?

Lol sorry if that was stupid of me. I cant believe the trees are already up!

Mishap for WTC hardhat
By PHILIP MESSING and REBECCA HARSHBARGER

A construction worker was injured yesterday at 1 World Trade Center when he fell 10 feet, sources said. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital after the 5:21 p.m. accident.

His condition was not released, but a source said he suffered a cut to his head. It's not clear why he fell.

The safety record so far has been pretty amazing all things considered. I read that 17 people died during the original WTC construction. So far 2 firefighters at the DBB, and I think two died (I know there was at least one) during 7WTC's building.
