No, not all the suburbs are like that. They're o.k., since there are some really dirty ones on the opposite side of the sea (sorry, no offence here).

The so called "ugly suburban commieblocks" in Stockholm are nothing compared
to the ones that can be found in the Baltics, Belarus, Poland, Ukraine
and Russia which look absolutely terrible in my opinion.
The ones here are quite fresh and colourful if you compare them.

True,Stockholm commies are nicely kept ,but if look at Baltic,Russian etc commieblock photos taken right after construction, you see that those were also bright & colourful. It's years of neglect & lack of maintenance which has turned commies here so bad.

Btw,I was previously referring commieblock designs in Stockholm, not how they are kept. If you look at their design, you'll see that they are quite similar to ones here.

Well it´s hard to come by good looking ones.
I´ve seen some in Berlin but not in many other places.

Oh well, what's done, that's done. Some time ago i was shocked to see some large commies with 50 - floors in pictures from Paris, but now i know that many cities have some buildings like these.

That´s indeed true.
London and New York are certainly no exceptions either.

I've got impression that London have less commieblocks, at least high-rise ones. There mostly low-rise suburban houses are spreaded out in huge areas. That's what I saw when was up in St Paul cathedral tower.
