So many nice bus stops at the boulevard recently and it's very hot inside at the daytime but it's the best new concept bus stop in Malaysia. I saw they installed digital display system at some bus stop overthere also (I was experienced at the one infront of Perbadanan Putrajaya Complex)

in KL and Putrajaya, they use glass (semi-transparent) for roofing which allow heat to penetrate. that's why we feel hot….

RM690mil contract awarded to build National Cancer Institute
Wednesday November 10, 2010
http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story...&if_height=657

KUALA LUMPUR: IJM Corp Bhd yesterday announced that Kiara Teratai-IJM joint venture has accepted a RM690mil contract from Kiara Teratai Sdn Bhd for the design, building and maintenance of the National Cancer Institute.

The contract will cover the construction of a hospital block comprising of one level sub-basement for radiotherapy treatment, one level of car park, four levels of oncology diagnostic and treatment services, and two blocks of seven levels in-patient wards, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities.

The expected date of completion for the project is Aug 31, 2013.

Kiara Teratai-IJM joint venture is formed by Kiara Teratai Sdn Bhd and IJM Construction Sdn Bhd (IJMC) on a 60:40 basis. IJMC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of IJM Corp. – Bernama

Update on construction projects
IJM appears comfortable with its RM2bn order win guidance for FY11 vs our forecast of RM1.5bn. We believe this excludes potential India infrastructure jobs, more clarity on this towards end-2010. We expect a more formal government-togovernment agreement on road contracts to come to fruition by year end. Potential projects in the pipeline are the RM700m National Cancer Institute in Putrajaya, RM150m upgrade of Sibu Airport, more infrastructure jobs in SCORE, other portions of the Inter State Water Transfer project and LRT extensions.

As long as they can operate the whatever using sustainable energy such as solar energy, why not? Do you have any idea how hot Dubai is during summer?

just a note..maintaining the solar panel is far more expensive than the panel itself. the material used is very fragile.

DBKL think KL is a cool weather place like European cities, thats y they tend to put glass roofing for bus stand, i dont understand what the rational they r doing this, maybe this is just an artistic form with the ignorance of comfort n essential purpose of a bus stand
