Tha Natural was fillmed in Buff and shows a lot of real Buffalo scenes.

Just for the record, I knew Bruce Almighty wasn't filmed in Buffalo, but they do have a lot of nice Buffalo scenes. And they did seem to capture the "essence" of the city.

I had actually heard that Bruce Almighty was filmed in Toronto. If you know Buffalo you do know that the WKBW building certainly is not the right building...I always chuckle at scenes like that.

it woulda been a much different movie if it was actually casted in Buffalo...imagine Bruce talking to somebody on the Eastside or maybe getting heckled by bums on Elmwood...lol

It looks like the movie was supposed to be set in Northern Buffalo.
