It is the Singer Tower, NYC. Was the world's tallest building for a few years.

Most people mourn it's destruction in the sixties-personally I do not like it and am glad it is gone. *runs*

Exactly, and until 9/11 the tallest structure ever demolished I think. Well, a matter of taste, but it was much more interesting than the ordinary black box that replaced it imo.

For some reason I just did not care for it, although I do mourn most tall older buildings that are taken down...just not this one for some reason.

I have no idea for this one.
