Makkawi...When you post a photo with the html/bb code you don't need to post it the ''Inset image'' just you post directly

like this ...

Personally, I think they should set the clock up how they desire it.

Given that some newer smart phones can tell you your time according to your exact longitude (with the built in GPS), time zones are nearing the point of irrelevancy anyways.

Why should being able to still see the fortress be of any importance? Again and again, on here and over at SSP, the Muslim members have repeated that Islam does not value buildings the way the Western religions do. They brag how they only value morals not "things".

Why do they always have to use green. I know it's the color of Islam but it looks so cheap and ugly.

Oh I am all for it and I love "Then and Now" picture comparisons. I just thought it was being mentioned because someone in Makkah was lamenting the loss of their view and I was confused.

Yeah, I have never seen it with my own eyes. I always heard there was on fortress. But according to your pics, it was in a pretty bad shape.

They didn't use it becuase its 'the color of Islam',. They used because green it can be seen from a further distance than any other colour and also its easy on the eye. They tested the colours before using them you know.

Red is too flashy, too agressive..and green is better more ''spiritual'' by night
