It doens't matter anyway because 1WTC has actually 102 floors, well at least that's the way I see it. A regular floor is 13'4'' = 4.06400m. Roof height / ceiling height = 417 / 4.064 = 102,6.

Just because a floor has a higher ceiling than 13'4'' doesn't make it two floors. A floor is the space between two horizontal concrete slabs in the inside of a building. The distance between those slabs doesn't matter

The core probably won't rise much faster when they get to those floors since they do have to give the concrete a certain amount of time to cure before moving up, but overall it may rise a bit faster since the floor plates are progressively smaller all the way up the building. There's a bit less to build with each new floor.

Quite a number of buildings skip floor 13 for superstitious reasons.

Mechanical floors take longer than office floors you find. More equipment needs to be installed before progress can resume to the next level.

So much history in that first photo. You can still see Hudson Terminal building at the base of the new 3WTC being built.

From what Zensteeldude told me months ago... The cladding will appear to be the same height all the way to the top. The double height floors will have the panels supported by an underlying steel framework, much the way the lower mechanical floors of 4WTC did with its double height. The panels are the same size but they will attach to the frames between the concrete slabs.

I believe the 9 sets of twin Vents on each side will run vertically from about 91 -93 and a bit of 100. They will be approximately a third as wide as a window. (Coincidentally, from the ground looking up, they will appear to form 9 sets of "11"'s)

? Where did I mention two floors? I'm not talking about those upper taller floors, but the floor count in general. And it still doesn't matter, just take the roof height and divide it by the regular foor height. Then you get your approximate floor count.

But why should it's floors have an average height that is identical to the regular floor height you're talking about?

There are alot of fictitious floors in One World Trade Center. Its to confuse potential future terrorists.

If you youve been in some old hotels before. There is sometimes no 13th floor. Just doesnt mean there is a designated number for that floor. Just simply skips from 12 to 14.

It's not to confuse the terrorists, it's to confuse YOU. They wanted to symbolically have 110 floors just like the original twins so they played around with the numbers. Continuing upwards from the roof which is 105, there are catwalks for the cooling equipment (106), then the 3 rings are 107-109. Finally (as per Zen, who had all the prints) there is a platform halfway up the spire numbered as floor 110. It's only about 10 feet square.

But in reality there are only about 90 actual levels below the roof.

One has nothing to do with the other. I'm as big a fan of the twins as anyone. This just isn't the place for it.

People make fun of Canada's weather all the time but trust me, it's not snowing right now...

It's 97 degrees here (36.2 Celcius)

How soon for some more steel?

100F is not hot. Try 125F. Then your balls are truely baking.

Yea when I visit NY last year it was 100 degrees too around there, biggest heatwave in 10's of years. Than we went to Las Vegas, Dead Valley it was 130 degrees or 52 celsius there, but somehow NY and Washington were more awful because the air is wetter, so it;s even worse.
