Last year in August Maabjerg BioEnergy started the building of the greatest bioenergy plant in the world.

The plan is to deliver climate-friendly district heating, to the inhabitants of Holstebro and Struer. The total price for this huge project is 375 million DKK of which 25 is from a contribution from EU.

The plant should be ready for use at the turn of the year 2011/2012.

As a note, this bioenergy building will give an economical profit of 1 billion DKK.

In continuation of the last post about Maabjerg BioEnergy:

A syndicate consisting of Vestforsyning, Struer Forsyning, Nomi and DONG Energy presented last friday (August 26th) one of the most ambitious plans for a new enerygcenter that Denmark and the world has ever seen - build in Holstebro (Maabjerg). More than 2,5 billion is the price for what people call a "bioethanol adventure".

Furthermore, it is predicted that this investment will create more than 1000 jobs to the Holstebro area.

As the election is coming closer and closer, the politicians seems to wake up and remember things they until now "accidential" had forgotten.

For the city of Holstebro this means that the new police headquarter - that was promised in 2007 - is coming closer. Minister of Justice, Lars Barfoed, promise that a new headquarter to the police will be ready for use in 2014.

Today the police in Holstebro has got adress in no less than 7 different places. This mean they have to drive from one place to another, which is waste of time and especially money.

Lars Barfoed is likely not minister after the election, so he shouldn't walk around and promise anything.
According to Fender56 in Esbjerg he did the same there..

No you are certainly right about that, but no matter what the situation isn't durable as it looks now. 350 employees spread over 5 adresses won't do in the long run, so i expect something new - don't know if I'm naive but thats how i see it.
