Like there aren't any other "tools of amusement for the people" (just as like despots and people's representatives didn't attend the shows for their own entertainment), and like it is only about this criterium in this contest. With these kinds of analyses you could just well qualify any building as a unique one.

For me the Great Wall of China is clearly above the Colosseum firstly because of its (unique) size: there is no other construction comparable, secondly because I have the idea that it is more famous than the Colosseum.

Wall more famous? You're either lying or exceedingly ignorant. And how could you find a monotonous brick wall more wonderous than the pinnacle of the engineering develoment of the greatest empire in history (Rome)? I just don't understand how some people are able to justify their thoughts sometimes...

Yes. it is famous in Asia(majority of people in the world)means its more famous.yes colosseum is old. has great architecture.but it has nothing which place it above the GREAT WALL.

so you are telling me every person in asia knows of the great wall? i dont think so. what you just said was a very ignorant and poorly formulated statement. and the Colosseum is leagues ahead of that wall in terms of wonder and awe.

I saw Colosseum in person and while it is an engineering mastercraft, it doesn't qualify as a 'wonder'. Much more wonderful is the Temple of Artemis, for instance. And when did john harry say everyone in Asia knew The Great Wall? Stop making up stuff, dude, you're being ridiculous.
