hahaha hell yeah, have to go through jalan ijok, then to kuala selangor via trunk road..it's complete waste of advisory. What's the different from using trunk road to those west coast towns from Meru/Klang anyway??

http://www.mrcb.com.my/main/core/inf...infra_toll.php

100% owned by MRCB, this 34-year concession project charts a big milestone for the Group. Upon completion, this 8.1km expressway will disperse traffic in downtown Johor Bahru, as well as link the new Customs, Immigration & Quarantine complex at Tanjung Puteri with the North-South Expressway at the Pandan Interchange.

+1

it's like DUKE and AKLEH, if they plan to link up both highways, MRR2 won't have a massive jam like it is today....

Highway to link Kinrara, Serdang and Putrajaya

A highway linking Kinrara, Serdang and Putrajaya with seven interchanges, is in the pipeline.

The 17km Serdang-Kinrara-Putrajaya Expressway (Skip) will have three main toll plazas and two on the ramps.

The highway, which starts near the Giant Hypermarket in BK 5a in Puchong, will pass by the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve and head towards Taman Lestari Perdana. From this point, the highway will be split into two directions.

The first will go through Taman Putra Permai and eventually connect the South Klang Valley Expressway.

The second will connect Taman Universiti Indah and Sri Sedang and then link to the Besraya Highway.

Its concessionaire and the Malaysian Highway Authority briefed the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) last week.

MPSJ councillor Ng Sze Han said the council welcomed the project that would reduce traffic jam in Jalan Besar, Serdang, and part of Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) in front of the IOI Mall in Puchong.

“Motorists from the Sunway toll plaza on the LDP can get into Skip near the Giant Hypermarket in Puchong, to head towards Putrajaya and Cyberjaya.

“According to the traffic impact assessment, the highway will ease the congestion on the LDP in front of IOI Mall,” he said.

Also in the pipeline is the Kinrara Damansara Expressway, linking Kinrara and Pusat Bandar Damansara, which will further reduce congestion on the LDP.

He added that the Skip concessionaire presented three alignment options and the council would most likely choose the one which would least affect private properties, schools and religious sites.

“We have also voiced our concern regarding the stretch of Skip near the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve.

“We requested them to minimise the impact on the ecology by going along the forest border,” he said.

Details on the concession period and toll fare are not available yet.

“The construction of the highway will start at the end of next year and is expected to be completed in 2016,” Ng said.

that is the Kajang Bypass... not belong neither to Lekas (IJM) nor Cheras-Kajang Highway (Grand Saga)...

1 part is under responsibility of JKR Hulu Langat from Kajang Perdana to Penjara Kajang... the another part is MPKJ from Prima saujana (near McD) to Tesco...

Yeah, the road condition there is pretty bad, especially past saujana impian from jalan cheras, poor lightings and got potholes that no doubt could cause serious accidents. MPKJ services are getting worse each year. Kajang is practically their homeground and you see how bad it is now. I've always thought that MPKJ covers too big an area than they can manage, maybe one the state government will break it up like the old MPPJ ?

New highway will have 7 interchanges
2011/09/02 By Farhana Syed Nokman
http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/03nnskip/Article/

SUBANG JAYA: Motorists in Seri Kembangan will soon have a new highway, the Serdang-Kinrara-Putrajaya Expressway (SKIP).

Sri Kembangan state assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah said the traffic congestion had become a nightmare for some 100,000 people in Seri Kembangan.

"There is only one way in and out on the PLUS Highway through Sungai Besi Toll Plaza to Seri Kembangan and it is congested both during and off peak hours, " said Yong.

SKIP will consist of seven interchanges on its 17km stretch. "The interchanges will be at Bandar Kinrara, Bandar Putra Permai, two interchanges near Putrajaya, Lestari Perdana and two in Seri Kembangan.

"The project will probably start early next year and it will take three years to complete. It is estimated to cost about RM2 billion," said Yong.

He said with the new highway, traffic congestion will be reduced and it will be easy for the motorists to get to Seri Kembangan without going into the old town.

Member of parliament for Serdang Teo Nie Ching said the traffic congestion in Seri Kembangan is at level F, which is bad.

"Presently, 200,000 motorists use the road daily," said Teo.

"SKIP will make it easier for motorists to get to their destinations.

"The property value in UPM and The Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) will also go up," said Teo during the press conference.

However, there are concerns regarding the construction work.

"We expect traffic congestion during construction and hope the inconvenience to motorists will be minimised," added Teo.

Would like to see the highway to be built wide enough to run train service in the middle, ha ha.

If not, a special bus lane.
