Oh, hehe, pity those trike riders, they will 'kayuh' all day long. Better they use cars la for KK. So, did you put your suggestion in the poll?

I was visiting a relative on the 7th floor and noticed the beautiful scenery outside the window. Yup it was taken from a common window right from room 5 (ward)!! Would you believe it!!

You can see the Platinum Toewr right up to 1 Borneo. I am using just my iphone camera so the resolution is not that good.

The building in front of QEH 2 is the new SMC building. But looks like no activity, or maybe because of the Hariraya Holidays.

But, for now at least Tourism Malaysia has given the green light. You can still forward your own suggestion though at the poll. I myself suggest Tanjung Simpang Mengayau ( Tip of Borneo) at Kudat. what about you?
My idea is from Sutera Harbour to Tun Mustapha following along the waterfront path?

Benz, I love your shot of The Peak Brothers. Very clear! Likas Stadium is the best place to photograph them. Did you notice 1 Borneo or Bayshore Condo from there too?

The city centre from Tanjung Melanim (the road leading to the navy base):

At the end of the day, KKites will be seeing more buildings, all built side by side, with existing roads are the only access to those buildings. There'll be more cars running on the city roads, and eventually the traffic condition getting worse overtime. I duno why everybody is less concern with the road capacity/system while discuss more and scrutinize to minute details all the buildings being built around. Not to mention how disappointing most of the building architectural design. Have anybody even think how worse is that to drive from Sepanggar's IP to BKI, a distance of 25km, but takes up to 30 minutes after peak hour. Just imagine how much it would take early in the morning to drive to the airport when all the suburb dwellers are rushing to go to work.

from my observation, there are less optional road in kk..means, less connections between suburbs to suburbs..some more, the council was juz concentrate within the city area as a result unnecessary jammed near the market & segama area..even the road between suria sabah to jesselton point is juz a 1 way road..they should find way how to reduce jam in the city..more suburbs like those alam mesra & luyang should be open..living in both KK & kuching, i personally assume that DBKK should learn more how to create a liveable city not juz concetrating on building approval itself..

Looking at google map, i think aeropod fits in the current railway station land but some cutting of trees are needed for the residential behind in the future

No doubt....likas stadium is the best place to observe the progress of Premier Tower....I didn't walk to the right side of the stadium to have a look on whether 1 borneo is viewable from there

Phase 3 of bayshore condo? IF it is what you mean, only the top floors can be viewed....the phase 3 too short
Best place to view it is still from the abandoned bungalow that you took from signal hill

Agree with kiko, DBKK only focus on solving the CBD problems such as parking space, cleanliness, landscape and traffic...The suburban areas receive less attention or none at all especially traffic and road issues...Many poeple got fed up with no solution taken on the traffic jams at Putatan, Petagas, Penampang, Luyang, Likas, Kolombong and Kingfisher. Developments are carried out without proper planning on improving the traffic and sustainability. IF this situation still persist for few years, the traffic jams would be chaotic and uncontrollable in no time

P/S: Didn't notice that the Petagas bridge linking the KKIA flyover has been completed by GUSB....no progress previously and in a sudden, it was completed

If Aeropod is allowed to be developed fully as depicted in renderings above (look at the number of residential towers proposed) you can bet your bottom dollar traffic jams at Tg Aru junction will be intolerable
Unless someone is willing to splash out and drill a tunnel under Kepayan Ridge

Speaking of tunnel, the city have many hills which would require a few tunnels should there is a need for bypass roads in the future to divert the traffic and creating alternatives to lessen the congestion on main roads....Kepayan Ridge, Signal hill, Likas Ridge, Shantung hill and Bukit Padang hill....a very costly project to reduce traffic jams....improving public transport would be a better choice for now
