I am having a problem with SSC Lebanon forum.

I have bookmarked the Lebanon sub-forum in SSC in my browser (obviously!). For the last 2 days, I wasn't able to access it from my bookmark, and I thought the whole site was down. Everytime I press the bookmark I get:

I tried today to get into the main site by typing it in my browser, and to my surprise, the SSC opened without any problem whatsoever. The biggest surprise was that I was able to get into the Lebanese forum by clicking the "Lebanon" link DIRECTLY from the Continental Forums> middle east tab. If I enter the "middle east" forum THEN click "Lebanon", I get the same error. The same error appears if I am in "Cedar Cafe" (or any Lebanon sub-forum) and I click on the "Lebanon" link in this upper bar to get back to the Lebanon forum.

After some investigation, I figured that the problem was that the working link refers to:

While the old/not working link (the one that gives me the error), refers to:

Since it's a problem in our forum and not SSC in general, please Lebanese moderators do something. And thanx in advance Beiruti...

I'm not experiencing this problem, is anyone else? Both links take me to our forum without issue.

I've bookmarked to LB forum too, i got an error message but only a couple of times but now all is fine, i haven't changed my bookmarks

Beiruti, I thought the problem was in my Google Chrome browser, so I tried IE 8, and same problem! I am on windows 7 ultimate, using Google Chrome, and on wireless broadband in Beirut. I also tried my laptop and had the same problem...am gonna be trying my MAC now to see if the problem is in the OS. Anyone in Lebanon having this problem. Am getting 100% of times error when i click the second link (no exceptions whatsoever).

Can you try bookmarking other local forums to see if the same problem is occuring?

Oddly enough, I bookmarked the "KSA" forum, and it worked. But when I changed the last 2 digits of the link

to 94 (to target the Lebanese forums), I got the same error. I thought it's a cache problem, but I remembered that I tried my laptop to no avail! It's also not a problem with my account, becuz I am not logged in from my laptop!

That's really weird - but I'll let the tech people know.

It turns out they upgraded the forum on Friday to version 3.8.5 and that caused some glitches.

Update: I tried my MAC laptop (running Mac OS X 10.4.10), and using Safari browser, I got the exact same error. Tried Firefox on MAC too, and same thing also. I even tried my mom's laptop running windows XP SP2 and on IE7, and got the same error every time !!! I am really going nuts!

Update 2: After trying every other connection and computer outside my home, and found out that all did work (!!!), I deducted that the problem was in my home's connection, so what I did is I changed my proxy settings (which changed my IP) and voila, am in!

Now the question is: is my IP banned from accessing the Lebanese SSC forum, or is it a problem with my ISP?

PS: all it takes is to restore my previous (normal) proxy settings and...BAMM...error!!! What on earth is happening?

I'm glad you were able to fix it. They arent sure what the problem is since no one else is experiencing this issue. An IP block would prevent you from accessing the entire site, not just this section. I think we can blame it on the upgrade process...

are you guys familiar with the mobile app "tapatalk" it's not loading SSC pages

im always on the go and use my mobile a lot and tapatalk makes "foruming" faster and easier.
