MISC | Colours used to identify your city's metro lines
One thing that attract me to metro or rapid transit maps are the different sets of colours used to identify a particular line. This is not just limited to rapid transit but also commuter rail, bus rapid transit or a combination of all three.
It is common for most rapid transit systems to use RGB for its first three lines. That is red, green and blue. This is evident in metro systems such as The HK MTR, The LA Subway or The Buenos Aires Subte. Yellow is also a popular colour used in early rapid transit lines. In some systems such as The London Underground, there is a specific colour used in identifying its system of lines. An example would be The Circle Line which used a Corporate Yellow (Pantone 116). Or the Central Line which used Corporate Red (Pantone 485). How about in your city's public transport system especially rail? What colours are used?
