This is true, But i'd just like to add this:

A350-800 / A330-200, 787-9
A350-900 / A330-300, A340-500, 777-200 (787-10)
A350-1000 / 777-300

You will notice that I have not included the A340-600 because in a standard 3 class layout it has 30 more seats than the A350-1000.

What I feel Airbus really need to do is launch a larger A350 that seats just under 400 people. This would close the massive gap between the A350 and the A380 and it is likely that Boeing will launch a bigger 777. Airbus would be silly to not bother competing in this segment.
