Manattan before 9, 11, 2001 in 3D
I began this project after the attacks of September 11.
My original intention was to model the skyline of the southern tip of Manhattan and the further the work advenced, I got carried away and ending with the model presented here. It took me a little over a year to complete a first draft during my free time. Since then I continued to improve it from time to time, and create new images according to my inspiration. Very detailed models of the Empire State Building, World Trade Center and Liberty Island complete the package, and allow for close-up views of these places. I have used Cinema 4D for the 3D part and Photoshop for texturing and retouching I have made a website dedicated to this project here : http://manhattan3d.free.fr/  Bird's eye view    New York Harbor

About the model
I have made the Manhattan model myself, except for the views of the Empire State Building for which I used a model found on the net. A textured 3D model of the entire island of Manhattan, which seems to be the one used in "Google Earth". Unusable with my 2007 Mac Pro in the full version, I used some parts for background buildings on the ESB views. I also used a lot of presets like the liberty statue, cars, boats, trees, people.

Amazing work, the textures look great. Am I right in thinking you modelled and textured all the buildings on MAnhattan itself, except ESB? Renders also top notch.
