I don't know if you have the answer and if not, then maybe someone else can help but; what is this? Why are they building that metal structure without digging up the building beneath it first?

Also, is there a plan to rebuild the Kale fortress properly or are they just building small parts as they go along?
I can see in some of the ancient sketches (pictures below) that some of those towers had wooden roofs. Are they going to build a pointy roof over any of them? Or just leave them bare like that? ![]() ![]() Those roofs look very similar to this castle that exists in the Ukraine. They don't look very difficult to build and would improve the look of the fortress immensely in my opinion.

I actually think that if they rebuild the fortress properly, it has the potential to be one amazing place. Because it is so large, they could build some souvenir and jewelry shops in there, some churches (it would be a very popular wedding location), a stage for theater actors or bands to perform in, an expensive hotel, but all in that same stone style as the rest of the fortress.
And for the hotel, they could have an underground parking that visitors drive into from some side street that then has an elevator, which takes them directly into the hotel lobby. And also have a tram that goes underground and drops people off who climb up and end up inside the fortress. Tourists would feel like they have stepped back in time. Thats what I would do if I was in charge of restoring the fortress. Don't just restore it, use it as an opportunity to build something that would make money. Imagine the rent for the shops there. That would make sense actually.
But, it's still weird how everything around that new structure has been left as ruins. I would have thought they would dig everything up properly. |

Well. The Kale was changing his look as the time was passing. So there are different versions of its look. I really don't know what they have chose and what they will build. But I know that the all the walls will be restored, and some other building as this church as we thing it is. For the towers... hmm Idk. I see that they had roofs, but i have no idea if they are going to be restored. Not for now.

Hello!
I'm going to Skopje on Saturday and wanted to ask, if the game Varda against 11 Oktomvri will be played in the Filip II stadium? Thanks for the answer in advance! |

No. Filip 2 is closed to April 2012 prior to ground works on the terrain and the athletic field. Actually thats the last phrase of the reconstruction of the stadium excluding the facade.
