Cities in Motion

I've been playing around (in map editor mode) with this game for a little bit and find it to be somewhat of a hybrid of Cities XL and Sim City 4. You can build tramways (even in medians of avenues - there is a road type with a wide median for this purpose), rail, subways/EL, ferries, bus routings, and ferry routing as far as transport is concerned. I found the road/highway building pretty nifty, but it still has limitations. Any thoughts from anyone who has played this game?

Has anybody played Cities in Motion or Cities in Motion 2? I'm considering in investing in one of the games.
