I don't look good for this project in mid to long term actually...
location is prime, government support but Naza no a good company to running business... they are lack of talented peoples.. my friend who work with Naza told me this...they are "success" because they used to support a lot by government and given a lot of chances and priority land to them. |

Don't need a lot, a few is enough as long as it is beautiful. Dubai with all its crazy buildings, isn't exactly beautiful.

You don't need supertalls to be a world class city. Dubai and China can have a go at who-got-a-bigger-one all day long.

KL Metropolis Master Plan
http://www.som.com/content.cfm/kl_me...is_master_plan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia SOM’s Master Plan for KL Metropolis (Jalan Dutamas and off Jalan Duta) is both visionary and viable, outlining sustainable development and design principles and concepts in support of an ambitious effort to create one of South East Asia’s most iconic developments. Currently an undeveloped green field located seven kilometers west of the Petronas Towers and Kuala Lumpur’s central business district, the development will seamlessly integrate approximately five and half million square feet of residential development, 10.5 million square feet of commercial office, three million square feet of retail, 1.5 million square feet of cultural and civic amenities, and nearly one million square feet of hotel space. The master plan provides a clear vision for the potential as a civic and cultural destination within the region. Working with land owner and developer Naza TTDI, SOM carefully considered the following principles in the Master Plan to support a vibrant community life: sustainable development and design; an integrated, vibrant mix of uses; abundant open public space; manageable, phased implementation; high-performance architecture and engineering; comprehensive traffic networks; and contextual development respectful of existing topography and landscape. At the heart of the plan are the project’s most iconic features, an integrated multi-level public open space and a Landmark Tower more than 100 stories tall. When implemented, the KL Metropolis Master Plan will serve as an extension of Kuala Lumpur’s city center, providing a new hub for retail activities, cultural amenities, office space, and residences, including a new Matrade Exhibition Centre center. Sustainable design concepts that will be implemented throughout the development include climate-sensitive building connection strategies, green roofs, and the incorporation of public transportation at both the regional and local levels. |
